Campus Safety

Campus Safety

It is our desire that every student at Athens Technical College be in an environment that ensures optimum learning conditions exist and that no interruption occurs in the learning process due to concerns about personal safety and security of both the student and his or her property. Unfortunately we do not live in an ideal world even in a campus environment. Colleges are a microcosm of society and just as we must take common sense precautions to protect ourselves from crimes in our communities, so must we on campus.

To insure the safety and security of students and staff of Athens Technical College the college has established a Police Department. The Chief of Police coordinates all law enforcement and security functions on all campuses of Athens Technical College.

The Police Department along with Security Officers may be seen often patrolling the parking areas as well as walking the hallways of the many buildings of Athens Technical College. Please feel free to approach any of our officers for information on any of the Athens Technical College Campuses.
