Can I sign up for Direct Deposit?
Employees classified as Full-Time are eligible for this
program. Complete the payroll from Direct Deposit and
submit to Human Resources. Directions on how
to complete the form and conditions of the program accompany
the form located on the forms page of this web-site.
How do I receive my paycheck?
Full-Time Faculty and Staff: You may have your check direct
deposited, mailed, held for pick-up in the business office
with the cashier, or routed to your respective division
secretary.
Adjunct Instructors & Student Workers: You may have
your check mailed or held for pick-up in the business
office with the cashier.
If you wish us to release your check to a spouse,
significant other, family member, friend, or coworker,
you must complete the Authorization to release Pay Check
Form. It will be held on file in the Business Office.
Recipients of the check must present the cashier with
an official State of Georgia or Federal Government ID.
If the recipient does not have an ID, even though the
form is on file, the check will not be released.
I missed the cut off date for payroll or my supervisor
forgot to submit my hours in a timely manner. Can I receive
a check this month?
When a situation of this nature occurs, it is unfortunate
and in most circumstances, individuals receiving compensation
for their time with us will have to wait until the following
month. The circumstances for each individual situation
will be reviewed, and a determination will be made.
Pay checks are not physically generated on-site at Athens
Technical College. If an error has been made on the behalf
of payroll, on demand/off cycle checks can be generated.
We will make ever effort possible to compensate the individual
in a timely and efficient manner.
I want to change my Federal or State Tax withholding
amounts. What do I need to do?
Go to the forms page and look for the payroll section.
There you will see hyperlinks to the Federal and State
Tax withholding forms. Complete them on-line, print, sign
and date, and then submit to Human Resources. We
cannot accept them if you submit them electronically because
we must have an original, hand written signature. We will
neither accept nor process forms having electronic or
digital signatures.
How do I increase/decrease salary deferrals
or saving plans?
Contact Leslie Crickenberger (lcrickenberger@athenstech.edu)
in the Human Resources department regarding savings plans
and salary deferrals. It is a simple process of completing
the correct form and we want to insure you have the appropriate
one for the corresponding plan. We understand that we
have several savings options available for employees and
we want to ensure accuracy in your deferrals.
