Auditorium Seat Campaign
The new B. Frank Coggins Center is a state-of-the-art Industrial Technology Building which will include a 200 seat auditorium. It is anticipated that this auditorium will be utilized frequently by community groups as well as by the student body. Each seat in the auditorium will feature a brass Donor Recognition Plate in a prominent location on the armrest. Purchasing an auditorium seat and engraving the name of your company on the Donor Recognition Plate is an ideal way to advertise your company to a broad segment of the population. The Auditorium Seat Campaign is also designed for the individual who wants to honor or to memorialize someone special in their life. Many seats are still available.

Adult Education Scholarship Enhancement Campaign
Building bridges to higher education and to career opportunities is the purpose behind this campaign. Many young people, for one reason or another, fail to graduate from high school. Today, without a high school diploma, most doors to employment and career development are closed. The Adult Education Program at Athens Technical College offers these students a second chance to move forward with their lives by preparing them to take the GED Exam. While the preparation classes are free, the fee to take the GED Exam is $95.00. This fee is an insurmountable financial barrier for some who have attended preparation classes and are ready to take the exam. You can open the door of opportunity and build a bridge to success for these deserving students by contributing to the Adult Education Scholarship Enhancement Fund. This fund is used to reimburse only those students who pass the GED Exam. Your contribution may be designated to assist students who reside in one particular county within the 10-county service area of Athens Technical College, or you may prefer that your gift be used to reimburse any student who resides within the service area. (Steve Martin, with the Office of Human Resources at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Walton County, presents a $1,000 check to Nelma Hamby, Lead Instructor in the Adult Education Program at the Walton County Campus of Athens Technical College. The money will be used to reimburse Walton County students who pass the GED Exam for the $95.00 GED Exam Fee.)
