The Career Planning and Placement
office of Student Affairs (office suite 716)
provides students and alumni with a centralized service
to assist in locating employment opportunities and developing
job search skills.
Request for Job Search Assistance
By completing a Request
for Job Search Assistance form, ATC alumni and students
near program completion may register through the Career
Planning and Placement office for on-going assistance
in locating career opportunities. The placement office
sends to students / graduates, per address identified
on individual Request for Job Search Assistance
forms on file, copies of job notices received, according
to program/career opportunity. Requests for receiving
announcements of job leads are kept in active status for
six months. Active status may be renewed by contacting
the Career Planning & Placement office.

from Student Affairs offices includes helpful
information for job seeking skills development. The
ATC libraries and computer labs provide access to Georgia
Career Information System (GCIS) which includes
job search resource information and tips on developing
resumes, writing cover letters, interviewing, and other
job seeking skills.

viewed on bulletin boards located in the 700 hallway
outside the Student Affairs offices. Other

Posting of Job Announcements
Employers who do not
discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender,
national origin, age, academic or economic disadvantage,
handicap or disability, in their employment practices
or policies are actively encouraged to contact the Career Services office and have announcements of
their job openings posted. Staffing agencies (third party
recruiters) may participate in job posting only in the
event that there is no charge to students for successful

Graduate Warranty
The Georgia Department
of Technical and Adult Education guarantees the skills
of its students for two years after they graduate from
an associate degree or diploma program of study.
Graduates who are deficient in one or more competencies
as defined in the curriculum standards can retake the
related course work at no instructional cost to the
graduate or employer. This guarantee applies only
to graduates who are employed in their fields of training.
