Resume Banks
ATC graduates, and students who are approaching completion of
program of study, are invited to obtain a Career Planning and
Placement folder from the office of Student Development Services
of Athens or Elberton campuses. This folder includes a Request
for Job Search Assistance form, which initiates mailings
of current job notices directly to the Athens Tech student/graduate.
The Career Planning and Placement folder also includes suggestions
and resources to support your career development, such as The
Job Hunting Handbook.
Athens Technical College Libraries have a plethora of resource
materials for planning and implementing your career quest.

The Georgia Career Information Center (GCIC) at Georgia
State University provides Georgians with a central and usable

and development. The primary mission of the center is to provide
current and accurate career information to schools and agencies
throughout Georgia in order to help young people and adults
make informed occupational and educational choices.
GCIC, through its Georgia Career Information System (GCIS),
provides Georgians with easy access to the most comprehensive,
current, and accurate state and national occupational and
educational information available in the state. The computer-based
system contains exploration, and search strategies
as well as a vast amount of occupational and educational
information.
As the state career information system, GCIS is Georgia's
central source for current career information.

The GCIS CD-ROM version includes an interest inventory/self-assessment
module, and is available at the Athens Technical College
Libraries.
