The class of 2014 Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA) at Athens Technical College recently donated equipment to the Athens Area Humane Society Spay and Neuter Center. The ATC SCNAVTA members’ philosophy of “giving back to the community” was realized when they donated a warm water circulating blanket and pump to the center.

Throughout the year ATC SCNAVTA members fund their activities and charitable gifts by holding a number of fundraisers including pet nail trims and dog washes.

Carole Miller, DVM, serves at Veterinary Technology program chair and SCNAVTA advisor.
