The COMPASS exam is an untimed, multiple choice test that helps to evaluate your skills and place you into the appropriate courses. The exam covers content in reading, writing, pre-algebra, and algebra.
Applicants may be exempt from taking the placement exam if:
- You have taken the COMPASS®, SAT®, or ACT® exam within the last 5 years and submitted your scores to ATC. Please note that scores must meet our minimum admissions requirements.
- You have successfully completed college level English and Math courses and submitted transcripts for evaluation.
