|College Opportunities for High School Students|
The purpose of High School Relations at Athens Technical College is to support the educational and workforce development mission of the institution by creating opportunities for high school students to achieve college credit while in high school and develop skills and personal insights beyond their high school learning. The Office provides programs and services designed to both challenge and support students' individual growth through enhanced learning opportunities aimed at engaging students with their peers as well as a variety of faculty, staff, and community partners.
The Office of High School Relations is responsible for the oversight of all programs where high school students may enroll through a variety of course of study for high school and/or college credit on the Athens, Elbert County, Greene County, and Walton County Campuses, and for developing special initiatives that enhance high school student learning.
The five primary areas of focus for the Office of High School Relations are Articulation, Dual Enrollment Academic - ACCEL, Dual Enrollment Technical - Career Technical & Agricultural, Move on When Ready, and Joint Enrollment programs.
