Economic Development Training Center Opens

Community leaders joined Athens Technical College faculty and staff for a ribbon cutting on March 25 to celebrate the opening of the new Athens Technical College Economic Development Training Center. The Economic Development Training Center is housed in the Williford Center on the Elbert County Campus of Athens Technical College. The Economic Development Training Center is designed to host training for local industries and organizations while also serving as a resource for potential and future employers. Large meeting spaces, classrooms, and conference rooms are located within the building. Technology is available to video conference with companies and partners within Georgia and around the world.
Potential courses offered at the Economic Development Training Center include training for First Aid/CPR, basic supervisor/management, conflict resolution, introduction to computers, OHSA 10 hour for general industries, Microsoft Office programs, and customized courses. Room rental is also available for workshops, trainings, and seminars.
