Transfer Students

If you are applying as a transfer student, please follow the steps outlined on this page.

Students must provide transcripts from all colleges or universities attended for evaluation of credit and for admissions acceptance. Only those courses with a grade C or better that meet the quality of established standards and are essentially the same content as courses taught at Athens Technical College are considered for transfer.

Some programs may have specific guidelines for acceptance of transfer students into the program. Please refer to the specific programs in the Catalog for information about transfer and how credit is received.

Steps for Transferring to Athens Tech:

Submit the Application for Admissions and pay the one-time $25 application fee.

Submit official transcripts from ALL colleges attended to the Admissions office.

Submit official High School / GED® Transcript to the Admissions Office if you earned fewer than 30 semester or 45 quarter credit hours at your previous institution.

If you have not successfully completed college level English composition and college level math at your previous institution, you must take the ACCUPLACER® placement test and/or turn in SAT, ACT, ASSET or COMPASS® scores.
