Withdrawing from Classes

student You may withdraw from classes any time during the term from the fourth day of the semester to the last day of classes. You may not withdraw once the final exam days begin. There are no refunds for withdrawing from classes after the third day of the semester. Withdrawing for a W

You may withdraw from classes online via your Banner Student Web account through 61% of the term. Step-by-step instructions for withdrawing online are available on the Banner Quick Reference sheet on the Registration and Records homepage. Please note that if you are trying to withdraw from your entire schedule or the only class on your schedule, you will need to come to the Office of Registration and Records for assistance or e-mail


Withdrawing for a WP or WF

In order to withdraw from classes after 61% of the term, you have two options:
(1) In-Person -- Come to the Office of Registration and Records and obtain a withdrawal form. You must take the withdrawal form to your instructors to obtain their signatures and a grade of WP (withdrawal passing) or WF (withdrawal failing). The form must then be returned before the last day of class to the Office of Registration and Records in Athens or the main administrative office on the Elberton, Monroe, or Greensboro campuses.
(2) Via E-Mail -- Students must e-mail their instructors through the e-mail programs/addresses they normally use to participate in their online courses to notify instructors that they want to withdraw. Instructors will assign grades of either WP or WF by notifying students through their Blackboard accounts of the assigned grade and forwarding the students' original e-mails requesting the withdrawal and information on the students' grades to
