Transfer Application Process

(For students who have previously attended a college or university)

1. Submit the Application for Admissions
2. Pay the one-time $25 application fee at the time of your application.
3. Submit official transcripts from ALL colleges attended.
   1. 1. Students who wish to have prior college credit evaluated for transfer or intend on using a funding source that requires the evaluation of prior college credit, such as HOPE Scholarship or Veterans Educational Benefits, must submit all post-secondary transcripts along with their admission application.
4. If you have not successfully completed college-level English composition and college-level math at your previous institution, you must take the ACCUPLACER® placement test  and/or turn in SAT, ACT, ASSET, or COMPASS® scores.  Students may also review the Placement Requirements to see alternative placement options.
5. Submit proof of Georgia Residency / Verification of Lawful Presence in the US.

Returning Student Application Process

(For students who have previously attended Athens Technical College)

1. Submit the Application for Admissions
2. Submit official transcripts from ALL colleges attended since your previous enrollment at Athens Technical College.
3. Submit proof of Georgia Residency / Verification of Lawful Presence in the US.

Dual Enrollment Student Application Process

(For current high school students)

1. Submit the Application for Admissions
2. Submit the following items to dualenrollment@athenstech.edu. for verification and to determine course eligibility.
   • High School Transcript/HOPE GPA
   • College transcript from all colleges if previously dual-enrolled
   • Recommendation / Permission Form

*SAT/ACT scores of 1200/26 are required for 10th-grade students choosing Associate Degree level courses.

Transient Student Application Process

(For students enrolled at another college/university wishing to transfer ATC courses)

1. Submit the Application for Admissions
2. Pay the one-time $25 application fee at the time of your application.
3. Submit official transient letter from your home institution
4. University of Georgia (UGA) students must also submit an official UGA transcript and a UGA Transient Course Request Form with the requested course(s) indicated.
5. Submit proof of Georgia Residency / Verification of Lawful Presence in the US.

Adult Education Student Application Process

(For students looking to enroll in High School Equivalency and ESL courses)

1. Submit the online Application for Admissions (free application).
2. One of our instructors will reach out to you.
3. Upon acceptance, you will need to attend an orientation class at one of our instruction sites. You will complete an intake form and an assessment which will help us put you at the correct level of study.
