There are many rewarding career opportunities available in the heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration industry. The Air Conditioning Technology program is designed to give students a firm knowledge and skill base necessary to begin a career in a high-demand field with many career pathways available. Students of the Air Conditioning Technology program learn in an environment where the instructors know each student and take a special interest to ensure each person has an opportunity to reach their goal.

We take a practical, applied approach in teaching the fundamentals and skills of the HVAC/R trade. Students learn a firm foundation in the principles of science required to understand refrigeration, electricity, and the thermodynamic world, while reinforcing these principles in the lab with real-world applications. The program is very hands-on, focusing on the skills that each graduate must know to be successful in the HVAC/R field. The program is very accommodating and offers flexible scheduling to allow working students and traditional students convenient options for attending classes and labs. Program instructors know each student and take a special interest to ensure each person has an opportunity to reach their goal. Graduates of the Air Conditioning Technology diploma program will be ready to begin a rewarding career installing, maintaining, and servicing systems in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. The current job market is strong with many positions available for graduates to begin great careers. Specific Facility, Tools Or Educational Tools Available

The Air Conditioning Technology lab is filled with many, authentic, true-to-the-field heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems, both residential and light commercial, on which students learn fundamental principles and applied skills necessary for the HVAC/R field.
