Emerging technology is a unique program to Athens Technical College, and all of the major courses within the program include hands-on labs. Graduates are prepared for a range of careers within robotics, video graming, mobile programming and other related fields.

Students learn technical applications and skills in problem solving, design, user experience, creative applications and computer programming. Courses focus on technical and organizational skills in a series of experiential, hands-on projects in which they work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams. Because of the rapid developments in technology, emerging technologists are constantly learning and updating their skill sets and evaluating new innovations.
