Trainings for Employer Workforces
Are you an employer in the 11-county area served by Athens Technical College? Are you looking to upskill your workforce to improve safety, build community, or increase industry-related knowledge? Athens Technical College has campuses and satellite teaching in the following counties: Clarke, Elbert, Greene, Hart, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Taliaferro, Walton and Wilkes.

IET Program
Are you looking for NO COST TO YOU trainings to- improve your job prospects? Earn more money at your job? Start a new career? If so, the IET Program, might be able to help.
Eligibility
- Must be enrolled as an Adult Education (AE) HSE or ESL course AND completed 12 hours.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must have a valid GA Driver’s license or state issued ID.
IET Training Schedules
- Each IET has its own unique schedule to support your training alongside your Adult Education studies.
- IET trainings integrate IET content alongside your AE studies, and are gained as either:
- Certifications which have you complete Industry Ready IET courses, such as: Basic Forklift Driving combined with OSHA10; ServSafe Food Protection Manager.
- Month long trainings are offered across the year at Clarke, Elbert, Walton, and Wilkes campuses during business hours.
- TCCs (Technical Certificates of Credit) which have you participate in semester courses from Athens Technical College to complete such courses as: Computer Help Desk 1, Accelerated Phlebotomy, with more to come e.g. Certified Nurse’s Aide, Early Childhood Care and Education, and Drone Pilot.
- TCCs offered at Clarke, Elbert, and Walton campuses depend on local offerings.
- TCC’s classes are taught either in the daytime and/or evening.

- Certifications which have you complete Industry Ready IET courses, such as: Basic Forklift Driving combined with OSHA10; ServSafe Food Protection Manager.

WPL Program
Are you an employer in the counties served by Athens Technical College campuses and satellite teaching sites? Is your business located in either Clarke, Elbert, Greene, Hart, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Taliaferro, Walton, or Wilkes County? If so, and you would like to upskill your workforce with on-site, bespoke trainings to train your work-force, please contact the WPL manager.
Benefits of On-site, Bespoke Trainings:
